Lower my monthly fees!
A member came into the credit union to discuss the frustration they were facing with having too many accounts in too many places. They were having a hard time tracking what was coming and going and as a result were hit with NSF charges on a regular basis. We discovered that by consolidating all of his electronic debits and credits into one main chequing account at Starnews, he could reduce his monthly fees by about $35 every month. Now our member knows exactly where his balance is at and is enjoying lower fees.

Frustrated with the number of monthly bills a member needed to track and pay each month, one member came into the credit union to see how we could help make the process easier. With services including direct deposit and automated funds transfer, we were able to set up a customized plan for his monthly bills that would withdraw funds from an allocated account each month on a specific date and pay the company directly. Now our member is enjoying the freedom to spend less time stuffing envelopes and paying for postage and has the peace of mind that his payments are taken care of each month.

One of our members contacted the credit union because they were unable to withdraw money from the ATM machine, due to an expired card. She really needed to have access to some funds and it was too late to send a transfer through inter-office mail. We arranged to meet with her after hours to supply her with an office cheque and a new member card. She was very pleased and said that she can't thank us enough for the great service we provide.
